OUR STORY
Storybook Lane Theater Co. was born out of a summer theater camp, where two childhood theater friends (and camp counselors) — Emmy and Chris — found themselves once again surrounded by costumes, scripts, and kids with big imaginations. As they laughed during their lunch break, they started to toss around a playful “What if?”
What if there were a place where creativity was celebrated over perfection? What if kids could be silly and serious, adventurous and unsure, loud and learning, all in the same rehearsal?
What if we built it ourselves?
What started as a passing comment quickly became something they couldn’t let go of.

They imagined a company where individual performers were just as important as the costumes, and the process was just as valuable as the performance. A place where kids could come to feel seen, supported, challenged, and creatively alive, whether they were preparing for a professional audition or just trying something new for the first time.
That’s how Storybook Lane Theater Co. came to life: as a shared dream between two friends, shaped by years of childhood rehearsal rooms and late-night cast party conversations about how things could be different.
Today, Storybook Lane offers a variety of programs including:
Private coaching in acting, singing, and music (guitar, piano, ukulele, and drums)

Group acting, improv, and musical theater classes

Workshops in scriptwriting, directing, technical theater, and more

Full theatrical productions designed to highlight every child’s strengths
And above all, a home for kids who love to perform, or are just learning how.
At its heart, Storybook Lane isn’t just about putting on a great show (though we’ll do that too). It’s about building a place that feels magical, intentional, safe, and full of heart. A place where every child knows: you belong here.
Welcome to the our Storybook. We’re so glad you found us!
